These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Grandpa Value (the "Service"), operated by Grandpa Value ("we," "us," "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
Grandpa Value runs a set of rule-based, mechanical stock screens against financial data drawn from SEC filings and third-party market data providers, and presents the results with the underlying arithmetic. It is a research and data tool. It is not investment, legal, or tax advice, and nothing on the Service is a recommendation to buy, hold, or sell any security.
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

Financial data is sourced from SEC EDGAR filings and third-party market data providers and is provided "as is." We make reasonable efforts to keep it accurate and current but do not guarantee its accuracy, completeness, or timeliness. Approximated metrics are labeled as such on the definitions page. You are solely responsible for verifying any data before relying on it, and for your own investment decisions.
The Service's software, design, screening logic, and original written content are owned by us. Underlying SEC filing data is public domain; other third-party data may carry its own restrictions as noted. You retain ownership of any feedback or content you submit to us, and grant us a license to use it to operate and improve the Service.
We rely on third-party providers to operate the Service, including Stripe (payments), Amazon Web Services (hosting, authentication, and infrastructure), and third-party market data sources. Your use of the Service is also subject to those providers' own terms where applicable.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or investment losses, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above; continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of South Carolina, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
